Training Module Descriptions

Installation
Current installation techniques are discussed in this training module including full-strip installation, close-cut installation, proper dam use and adhesive options.  The explanation of AGC's Seven Steps of Installation will be discussed.

Troubleshooting
"Comebacks" or "Callbacks" are handled in the troubleshooting module.  Leaks, noise and damage problems are corrected through procedures such as proper listening skills, determining the cause of the problem and then eliminating the problem through proper repair.

Windshield Repair
The recognition of repairable glass breakage patterns will be taught.  Windshield repair theories and procedures are discussed.

Laminated Glass Cutting
Laminated glass cutting is quickly becoming a lost art.  This module covers the proper ways of scoring, breaking and the lamination separation of automotive laminated safety glass.  This also covers the pattern making techniques; pinchweld patterns and trace patterns.

Customer Service
How important are customer relationships and communication?  Plenty! That is why this is an optional module which is becoming very popular.  In this module we discuss handling the difficult customer, listening techniques, personality recognition and sales techniques.

Sales Training for the Non Professional
Every employee is a salesperson.  This module describes the five step sales process to successful results.  Technicians, CSR's and current salespersons will benefit from this informative module.

CSR Training and Development
This module helps the modern auto glass CSR deal with customers and fellow employees alike.  Are missed jobs a problem? Are vehicle location directions taking the technicians all over the countryside?  Let an industry professional explain the right way to deal with your specific CSR problems.

Liabilities
This module explains the reasons for the development and uses of urethane for structural integrity.  Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 212, 208 and 216 are explained and described for better understanding of the auto glass installation techniques used today.

Safety
Safety equipment used in the auto glass industry is introduced and demonstrated.  Safe installation practices are discussed and habits developed.

Glass
The history of glass manufacturing and fabrication is presented.  All types of auto glass fabrication is displayed and discussed including laminated, tempered, encapsulated, bonded, PAAS, HUD heated and flat laminated.

Tools
Common and specialty hand and power tools are demonstrated.  Peripheral supplies are discussed and presented, including proper use and disposal of hazardous materials.

Adhesives and Sealants
This very important module discusses the characteristics and types of adhesives currently used in the industry.  Discussion in application and cure drive home the importance of proper use and understanding of urethane and its primers.

Miscellaneous Parts
Techniques on removal and replacement of most molding designs are instructed.  Other types of miscellaneous parts will be displayed and discussed.

NAGS Numbering System
The National Auto Glass Specification's numbering system is instructed through hands-on practice using the current part's books and the pricing calculators.
